Objectives

 EUROPEAN AWARENESS RAISING CAMPAIGN FOR AN ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE OLIVE MILL WASTE MANAGEMENT 

• The primary scope of the project will be to raise awareness among the olive industry operators of the environmental concern caused by the careless disposal of the olive waste.

• As a consequence of the above described first objective, the project aims to change the behaviour of the olive mill owners related to OWMM by adopting concrete measures, like providing them with continuous technical support and informing them on a financial opportunities, in order to convince them to adopt eco-friendly technologies for the recovery and recycling of these wastes.

• The final objective of the project will be to provide a significant contribution to the implementation of Community environmental policy and legislation in the field of the olive waste management.

• The exploitation of the work already undertaken in the field of the olive waste management represents another important goal, since a large amount of projects on this issue have been already co-financed by the EC.

• Dissemination of the project results supported by an efficient management.
